Where do I find the app?
In the Canva editor, open Apps in the side panel and search for “Seamless Pattern”.
Why can’t I use “Set as page background”?
Some design types have no page background. Use Add to design instead, which adds the pattern as an image you can resize.
Why is “New variation” turned off for some patterns?
Some classic patterns, such as gingham or stripes, look the same in every variation. Try New colors or the pattern’s sliders instead.
Can I use the patterns in commercial work?
Yes, inside your designs. You may not sell or share the pattern images on their own. See the Terms and Conditions.
Does the app use AI?
No. Every pattern is drawn with math formulas, right in your browser.
What does the app do with my data?
It does not collect any. See the Privacy Policy.
